Trump denunnces assault on Michigan church
Trump stated in a post on Truth Social after the event that the assault was a role in an “epidemic of violence” in the US.
He wrote “The suspect is dead, but there is still a lot to learn. This appears to be yet another targeted attack on Christians in the United States of America,” he also added that “THIS EPIDEMIC OF VIOLENCE IN OUR COUNTRY MUST END, IMMEDIATELY!”
Less than thirty minutes after the service started, the incident happened at a crowded Latter-day Saints church located in the town of Grand Blanc.
According to Grand Blanc Township Police Chief William Renye, the incident occurred around 10:25 a.m. when a 40-year-old male suspect drove his car through the church's front doors and started shooting on the assembly with a military-style rifle.
