Hull City Secures Premier League Return with Dramatic Playoff Final Win
(MENAFN) Hull City have earned promotion to the English Premier League after a narrow 1–0 victory over Middlesbrough in the Championship playoff final held at Wembley Stadium.
According to reports, the decisive moment came deep into stoppage time when Oli McBurnie scored the only goal of the match, sealing promotion for the club.
Hull City’s return marks their first appearance in the Premier League since the 2016–17 season.
The club is owned by Turkish businessman and media figure Acun Ilıcalı, who took over in 2022.
